Year 5 have taken inspiration from the London-based street artist, Camille Walala to produce a set of beautiful playful prints! After learning about Walala’s influences (including the art of the Ndebele Tribe and the Memphis Movement), we anaylsed the use of pattern and colour in her work. We played around with some ideas and then were careful and methodical in producing our final designs. Our work is now being showcased in our corridor and classrooms displays, as well as in our art floorbook! Thrillingly, we were even sent some feedback on our art by the artist herself!
