Having explored the properties of living things, Year 1 decided to focus on animals and to research the different types, species and properties of animals around the world. Using information books, they took photos of animal groups they found and discussed the ways in which they differed. They then thought about the different body part names of the animals and even considered how they changed as they grew from baby to adult.

They were then ready to present their findings to the Vet School Professor (aka Crystal, from Central School of Speech and Drama!) and to graduate as Vets!

Our Vet surgery has been built by the children. They have selected the animals, the pictures, the information books and learning materials they need to provide a full service and are now ready to receive visitors!
