Year 1 have been exploring stories written and illustrated by Quentin Blake and what better way to understand events, characters and emotions than with a spot of drama!

We acted out the story by hiding from Professor Dupont in the hall and used our positional language and knowledge to find really exciting places to hide!

Then we thought about the characters might move and talk.

After that, we were ready to make a real escape from the hall… we had to get past all the classes and offices around the school, hiding whenever an adult came by and make it back to our classroom without Professor Dupont discovering us… it was very nerve-wracking but we did it!
