We’ve had two special visits from Lauren at Ted Baker so far this term. First she talked to us all about the impact fashion has on the environment. We learnt that it takes 8,000 litres of water to make a pair of jeans and looked at lakes which have almost disappeared because the water has been used to make cotton for our clothes! Then she came in to talk to us about what inspires the designers as Ted Baker. They like to use nature and animals in their clothes. This information was great to hear as we’d just been to the V and A and seen lots of beautiful clothes covered in plants and animals. She showed us how a designer makes a mood board for inspiration and we’ve decided to make our own! Watch this space.
