Work has begun on the design and then making of an amazing legacy mosaic piece at the entrance of the Tadpoles classroom. The aim is to work as a school community to create a Tadpole themed mosaic to display next to the front door of their building. It will make for a very warm welcome to all our families whose children attend the wonderful Tadpoles class.
We extend a huge ‘thank you’ to Dita and Bethabel who have worked really hard so far to research images and develop some fantastic designs for the mosaic, and we are now in a position, starting after half term, to start making!
We would love for more Tadpole parents to come along and help make the mosaic. No artist experience is required, our fabulous resident artist Alice will be there to help you every step of the way. If there is space for other helpers, we’ll happily open it up to the wider school community. We need many hands and so even if you can only spare 15 minutes, please do come along. It’s also a lovely opportunity to have a coffee, tea, a biscuit or two and a socialise with other parents.
Work on the mosaic happens between 9 and 10.30 am each Tuesday, starting from the first week back after half term. Please come and speak to Liz in the Tadpoles, Alice or Richard if you’d like to learn more or volunteer your time, as little or as much as you can manage.
