After a generous offer from Emma, children from Froglets went to the school garden to collect FIVE amazing pumpkins. They were all different shapes and sizes and all grown by the wonderful gardeners of Primrose Hill Primary. After carefully transporting them back to class, we passed them around the circle, using our sense to explore them, before chopping up the biggest of the lot and turning it into the most delicious pumpkin soup. We added some vegetable stock, an onion, a potato, salt, pepper and a good pinch of cumin for extra flavour. All the children were given a cup to try and MOST did so. One of the class had THREE portions they loved it so much. Why not try and make some yourselves? The Nursery teaching team are always happy to be taste testers for you!
