As part of our Science Week, Year 3 had a special visitor from the Crick Institute. We used all of our learning this term about bones and bodies to carry out an investigation to find out whether the length of a person’s femur affects how far they can jump. We predicted that someone with a longer femur would jump further. However, we found that this wasn’t always true! Then we got the opportunity to look at and feel some real bones and we thought about different jobs that would require us to know about bones. We had a brilliant time!
