Today year 5 recited the narrative poem ‘Lochinvar’. This poem tells the story of a ‘faithful’ and ‘dauntless’ knight, who goes to Netherby hall to steal his bride away to never be seen again. The children first explored the poem by finding unknown words in the dictionary and then practiced their performance in group. Many even managed to learn their lines off by heart to make the poem come alive even more!
