Reception Class had such a treat last week. As part of our exploration of the animal kingdom in our topic ‘Carnival of the Animals’, we have been finding out how animals grow and develop and what the young of animals are called.

We had some 5 week old kittens join us so that the children could learn about how they are born with their eyes closed and, as they are mammals, drink milk from their mother for the first 3 or 4 weeks. At 5 weeks they are very inquisitive and  enjoyed roaming around the classroom. Thank you Malik for lending us your beautiful kittens.
