Year 5’s topic this term is ‘Save the World’ and we have been learning about climate zones, the environment and deforestation. So we decided to go and experience what it is like in a tropical rainforest and to see which plants and trees we can find there. We went to the beautiful Kew Gardens and found out it is very warm and wet in the rainforest! We also got to experience other climate zones in the Princess of Wales conservatory and saw some extraordinary plants (and animals – can you find the lizard  in the pictures?).
