1K’s reading corner has changed! Jack’s beanstalk has magically grown… but how did it grow? What did it need to grow? Where did it start? What will it do next?

To answer all these questions, we decided to plant beans and to observe them as they changed. We saw they needed water, soil and light as a few beans didn’t grow or grew very little if they didn’t have all of these things.

Using magnifying glasses and rulers we continue to watch as they change and use our maths skills to measure their lengths in centimeters. We have compared them to find the longest and the shortest too!
