Last half term Tadpoles have been learning all about growing. The children planted mung beans and sunflowers seeds. We had to wait very patiently and the children were very excited to see the seedlings start to grow! We even made a height chart with all of the children’s names, including the adult’s measured themselves as well.
We had a few very windy days, so we made kites and went outside to see if they would fly. The children loved flying their kites and we had to hold on to them tightly!
We also read and focused on the story of “Handa’s surprise” by Eileen Browne. The children really enjoyed being able to explore all of the different fruits from the story. They were able to touch, smell, chop and taste them all! They were sooo delicious! We even made some tasty smoothies.
