This half term, we are going to make our own moving toys. During our science lessons, we will be studying forces. This will help us to understand how our moving toys work.
During a lesson on gravity, the children explored how gravity causes unsupported objects to fall towards the Earth. In the first part of the lesson, the children used force meters/ Newton meters to measure the weight of different objects. In the second part of the lesson, they used a straw to try and lift objects with different masses.
Which objects do you think were the hardest to lift up with a straw? Why?
