As part of the ‘health’ strand of PHSE, we’ve been learning all about food and nutrition! After learning about the different food groups and nutrients, we’re now much better equipped to assess the healthiness of our meals and make healthy food choices! For example, during our snack time we know we’re getting lots of essential vitamins from the fruit we eat. We also learned about the importance of hydration and drinking lots of fluids. In these photos, you can see us ordering ourselves by the amount of nutrients (eg. fat) in each food. You can also see us sampling a mint water infusion – it was very refreshing!
