Just before the holiday, 2R held their ‘Float the Boat’ parent workshop competition. Pairs of children (and their adult helpers) had to design a boat using only 3 materials, which was 20cmx10cm and that floated in the water. Boats that floated were also tested to see how many unifix cubes they held.

All of the children worked really hard and created some wonderful floating boats during the afternoon. A special well done for Hadia and Erza whose boat held the most cubes and was the correct size and to Dylan and Mat whose boat won the best looking in the whole of Key Stage 1!
