This week, Y2 traveled back in time to a Victorian Ragged School.
First, we were able to have a quick look around the museum to find out about Ragged Schools and then we were transported swiftly to a Victorian classroom.
The girls and boys had to sit separately and the children each had their own wooden desks. They practiced writing and arithmetic on slates and had to rehearse sentences back to the very strict teacher!
We learnt so much today and it was great to experience life as a Victorian child at school.
