Today, Year 1 walked around the corner to St Mark’s Church to learn about Shrove Tuesday and why it is important to the Christian Religions.

We observed the palm burning and were told more about the significance of Ash Wednesday and Lent.

Then we returned to school to have pancakes with a much better understanding of Pancake Day.
