Year 6 had a wonderful morning exploring Chemistry. As part of their celebrations for Year of The Periodic Table, The Royal Society of Chemistry invited us to participate in a presentation, a show and  four workshops. The children had the opportunity to watch exciting reactions, including puffs of smoke and sudden explosions of flames: to make soap, using their own perfume mixes; to play with subtances that do not conform to the normal rules of solids and liquids; and to make reactions using a catalyst. Everyone really enjoyed the session and was delighted by the Science they learned.
