On Wednesday 31st January, the children used a ‘story whoosh’ to act out the main events in chapter 4 of the Iron Man by Ted Hughes. As they did this, the children identified the feelings and thoughts of different characters using ‘thought tracking’ and collected ‘quotes’ by interviewing story characters at significant moments in the story.

Later, the children used these ideas to write a newspaper article about the failure of ‘all the armies in the world’ to defeat the Space-Bat-Angel-Dragon and the panic that ensues.
