Kestrels had a wonderful day at the RAF museum learning about the children who carried secret messages for spies; how to deal with an incendiary bomb if one falls in through your roof; which uniforms different service men and women wore and trying on the RAF uniforms; not to mention the amazing aircraft. We also visited the diversity exhibition which showed where Allied and British forces came from and found out about the essential contribution of nations such as Jamaica, South Africa, Ceylon, Nigeria, India and Malaysia to name just a few. If you are looking for a great day out, then the RAF museum is well worth a visit.
