Last week, Year 6 started their learning journey for their new topic: WW2, by re-creating an evacuation scene.
The children listened to an evacuation siren, made their own billet tags and were marched to the ‘train station’ to be evacuated.
Once they arrived at their destination, they were each given a scenario about who they were being sent to and what they would be expected to do there. They then discussed their thoughts, feelings and any questions they had.
The children can’t wait to learn more about WW2!
