On Election Day,  the children were asked to cast votes in response to the following question: Would you rather be a Hunter Gatherer or a Farmer?

First, the children formed ‘think tanks’ to prepare arguments to support their own positions. The children then had a  very heated debate. After this, they collected voting slips from the class ‘Election Officer’ and cast votes in a ‘secret ballot’. When the results were declared next morning,  10 children said that they would like to be a farmer and 19 said that they would like to be a hunter gatherer.
