Remember to bring your homework on Thursday 

Reading: Keep a record of all that you read this month. You should be reading EVERY day.  Try to read with someone once or twice a week.

Word Detectives: Search for words with “ing”,

where you have to double the letter.  How many can you find? Make a chart in your book.

Science: Have a look around your house.  What materials are objects made from?  What are the properties of those materials e.g:

Plastic Flexible/ inflexible, hard/soft,

Maths: Look at the food that you have in your cupboards. What is the most common amount in grams or litres?  Make a chart.

Achi: a strategy game to play with a Parent or Carer.

This game is played in Ghana.
Stones that were marked for this game in the third century AD have been found near Hadrian’s Wall in Northern England.

You need:

Four counters each
A game board

To start:
Take it in turns to place a counter on  an empty circle.
Keep going until all the counters are on the board.
Then take it in turns to slide one of your counters along a line to an empty circle.

The winner: the first player to get three counters in a straight line.
