In science, Year 5 have been learning about the life process of reproduction in some plants. We have looked at the different parts of a flower and the roles these play in the life cycle of a flowering plant: from germination, pollination, fertilisation to seed dispersal.

The children then had a chance to dissect flowers in order to investigate and see if they could identify the different organs/ parts of a flower.
